How disappointing to be a good customer and looking forward to a group sew and then you are odd man out and no one even offers you a chair....we'd offer you a chair.....
I am so sorry you had to go through that. Did the teacher see you leave? Maybe she will let you take an extra class. Good luck for next week
This is one reason I don't participate in stuff often as I don't do well in groups, crowds. I am much better one on one or in a close circle of intimate friends. So sorry, dear Ann, that this happened to you. I would have been feeling much the same.

I wouldn't go back either, it sounds too cliquey for me, surely they shouldn't take any members on if they don't have the table space available to accommodate everyone. It sounds as though you'd have to get there at least an hour early just to bag a place - I think I'd be looking for something else. Don't let it upset you.
I always act poorly in situations where I don't feel like I belong. They didn't help the situation a bit either.
So sorry that happened to you. I would have been much more vocal on my exit. That is why I don't do group things, or crowds. I would certainly speak to the owner about it though.
It's disappointing some of these quilting events are so cliquie. Maybe you could start your own sewing group? Sorry you had a bad experience. Personally, I prefer to sew at home alone in my familiar, well organized, environment w/o lugging all my stuff somewhere. I put on music & sew away. I've taken several instruction classes that were worthwhile. I also made a few new friends. Don't let one bad experience keep you away. JCY
