Re: Okay I need to STOP!!!
I can empathize. The last time I went to the LQS I left my purse in the trunk just to not buy anything extra. Thirty minutes later, went back for the credit card, lol. I have concluded it is my collection. Some people collect toys, others dolls, others tools, we collect fabric.
Re: Okay I need to STOP!!!
LOL! Don't look at what you have, just keep looking ahead. More fun that way. Every now and then rearrange your stash and congratulate yourself on your good taste. Keep healthy . So little time, so many fabrics.!

I saw the following phrasing on a quilt guild website.........and thought it was a good one!
You are not buying too much.......you are "augmenting your textile collection"........now doesn't that sound better! :D
I told myself that this morning - and then ordered not only the daily deal, but two matching packs . . . and you read Ruby's reference to my stash?????????????

I KNOW I had a specific pattern (one of Jenny's many tutorials) in mind for the cream & sugar, but cannot for the life of me remember which one. :icon_beuj: It was a tutorial that used that specific fabric line..... AND I have two more orders on the way from M*.
On top of all of that, I went for my second one on one training on my new Janome 6600P today and came home w/2 FQ that I actually did need for a work in progress, plus a Giggles charm pack, 3--1/2 yard cuts of sewing themed fabric (because I want to make a wall hanging for my sewing room, yeah right...sometime in the next century!!), and one yard of fall fabric "just because I love it and had to have it".
Is there a Fabric Lovers 12 step program somewhere?? :icon_question::icon_exclaim: I have enough fabric to last me for the next two years, if not longer!!! Is there any help for me? :icon_rolleyes:
No. Its hopeless, don't fight it. You are officially addicted and we don't want a 12 step program!

Hihi, I canīt stop laughing :icon_rofl: You guys are too funny!
But seriously, every time I turn on the internet, somehow a site from a fabric shop appears and I see lots of beautiful fabrics I DESPERATELY need for a future project popping into my mind immediately. But my stash is still pretty small compared to others... so far.
Re: Okay I need to STOP!!!
:icon_rofl: Okay.....so no 12 step program, how about 12 great tips to organize an obviously growing fabric "collection" :) , a sewing room/area for easy flow pattern, and great ways to organize all of the other tools, rulers, thread etc etc that is also growing!! hmmmm......

Yes, read her reference....are there pics that I can drool :icon_drool: over? :)
Re: Okay I need to STOP!!!
Good grief!!!!!! If I had to pay Aussie prices for that yardage it would cost me the same as a small apartment in one of the cheaper suburbs here!!!!!! ($123,750.000)
Re: Okay I need to STOP!!!
On a bit more serious note....taking up quilting and being determined to relax, enjoy and have fun with it this time (last time I tried 4-5 yrs ago, I started out trying to be the perfectionist that I think I am) and ended up giving up. With that in mind and the advice of my compounding pharmacist (that does my bioidentical hormones)....she has told me over & over again that I need "me" time and to take care of myself. So I decided to jump back on the quilting bus and have also taken up bike riding!! Purchased a bike about 6 wks ago and that was the first time in about 35 yrs that I had been on one, and yes, as they say....it does come back to you. I am now up to riding 5 miles/3days a week. (Patting myself on the back for that one.....I AM the queen of lazy!) Since the end of February I have lost just a hair over 47 lbs and feel better than ever!! Will be 52 the 20th next month and celebrate 33 yrs of marriage Oct 4th!! We have 4 grown sons that we are proud of....ages 27, 29, 30 & 31....I did survive and keep those nasty old gray hairs covered! lol Still having trouble fighting my perfectionist tendencies with the quilting....keep thinking of the quote/saying that I have read here on the forum more than once about if you can't see the mistake while riding by on a galloping horse that no one else will. Love that one!! Off to ride my bike in a bit, get my nails done and probably go in search of more fabric. When I went for my one on one training yesterday.....I had a JRR top completed but needed fabric for borders & binding & completed double slice layer cake squares that I also need fabric for borders & binding......but I get soooo side tracked when in the presence of so much beautiful fabric (and this is really a small shop) I totally forgot. :icon_beuj:
