    Default table risers

I purchased a couple of folding tables to help support my big quilts when machine quilting. I'm thinking they would also be good for cutting tables if I could figure out how to get them several inches higher. I've seen these used at retreats but didn't pay much attention to them. I don't even know if they were things actually made for that purpose or if some clever quilter repurposed something else and made it work for risers. Does anyone know if table risers are available, where to get them if they are, or what could be used to make my tables several inches higher?

    Thanks so much!

I bought some bed risers at Walmart thinking they would work, but way to high. We had some 2x4 wood and just cut them in blocks. that works well and Home depot will cut them for you (usually) I have seen just large cans under the legs. Don't spend money if you can find it around the house

Most bed risers will work and should have two different heights, depending on which way you turn them.

Other people have cut lengths of PVC pipe to slip the legs of the tables into to make them taller.

I have seen bed risers advertised this summer with electrical outlets in them.......if you need a power source at your table top. My mom used large cans from the pantry, swapping them out periodically.

We got some at Bed Bath and Beyond - they had different heights available.

I used pieces of PVC pipe to raise the height of my cutting table. It's one of those plastic topped 6' long banquet tables. It worked really well.
