Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
I have been wanting to do something to change my ironing layout. The regular ironing board is a pain to work with when pressing full widths of fabric and quilt tops.
Since neither hubby or I are 'handy' I asked a woodworker friend of mine to help me out. Since this is his busy season, he hadn't been able to get around to it, so I was going to take matters into my own hands until I found this at Joann's:

Double Wall Ironing Center & sewing furniture at Joann.com
It is on sale for 1/2 price AND I picked it up at the store so I got 25% off with the coupon that is good through today. With Discount, $105. I couldn't have made this for that price. If I hadn't been able to find it at the store, I was going to order using the $.70 shipping, but I wouldn't have been able to use the coupon.
I'm trying to stay out of hubby's way so that he can finish putting it together so I can get back to quilting. With a few more adjustments, I think my quilting room will finally be complete.

I like!! That will make ironing so much easier.
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
Congratulations! I love a bargain.
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
You most certainly did! Big Score! Love it!
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
Great find! Wish I had a place for something like this.
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
What an awesome find, and such a great price! Total score :)
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
I saw that too in the flyer and considered it but I wasn't able to get away today. Joann's minky fabrics are also on sale right now and I have a 25% off that would go on top---darn wish I couldv'e gotten to town today!
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
lol I got one too! Don saw it on Friday when we were there - I totally missed it 'cause it wasn't put together. He made me look it up online 'cause he knew I was looking for a bigger ironing surface to handle the WOF at one time.
Dragged me on Sat with my 25% entire as well. Such a deal at $105 - plus I found some more things I need of course. lol
Love my DH!

Well, Hubby dragged me back out so fast, I didn't even have TIME to look to see if there was anything I "needed"...LOL
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
Guess where I'm heading today :-)
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
This is so awesome! If only I had the room :(. So I'm wondering - do you think I could cover my cutting table with the silver stuff and then put my cutting board over it for cutting and take off the cutting board for ironing? That would be a good use of space for me if it would work. I could put the elastic on the silver "stuff" myself. Thoughts anyone??

That's what I do. I bought the quilted silver stuff at Joann's and put it on my table for pressing. I don't have any elastic on mine, but you could if you wanted.
Re: Joann Fabrics - she SCORES!
My whole table is padded and topped with canvas so I can iron on a big surface. When I need to cut I just put my mat on top and cut away. Just be careful and don't put your mat on top until the surface has cooled down. You could warp the mat otherwise.
