    This is so awesome! If only I had the room . So I'm wondering - do you think I could cover my cutting table with the silver stuff and then put my cutting board over it for cutting and take off the cutting board for ironing? That would be a good use of space for me if it would work. I could put the elastic on the silver "stuff" myself. Thoughts anyone??

    That's what I do. I bought the quilted silver stuff at Joann's and put it on my table for pressing. I don't have any elastic on mine, but you could if you wanted.

    My whole table is padded and topped with canvas so I can iron on a big surface. When I need to cut I just put my mat on top and cut away. Just be careful and don't put your mat on top until the surface has cooled down. You could warp the mat otherwise.
