God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.
That would be awesome!

I immediately thought of making them look like hot air balloons on a blue background. You would need to add a little applique basket but that would be pretty easy to draw. Maybe add a few birds. Of course you no longer have a modern quilt that way.![]()
Interesting, I saw it in the magazine. Not my style. Still, interesting.
It would be cute to make a Hot Air Balloon applique quilt with the big Hexi though.
I agree, it is interesting....I do like the geometric aspect, but definitely not my style. Thought I liked modern/contemporary....maybe it's just this pattern. Being a beginner, I'm all for quick & easy....straight cuts, straight lines & seams!! Hopefully I will graduate to something more challenging, if not I will be happy to perfect my skills.![]()
BTW, I do love the idea of the Hot Air Balloon applique! If you do it, please share.
Love this! I can see it as bubbles rising from the sea bottom, bubble bath time or snow flakes falling! Very exciting!
I like the design but I'm not fond of the gray background. Would like it better in white. Or if done with the balloon theme maybe a blue batik that looked like sky. I'm glad to see Jenny & co. putting up tutorials that appeal to all quilters, modern or traditional. Even though I probably won't make the majority of them it's sure fun to watch Jenny. I kind of think of her as my quilting friend even though we've never met.
That would be really nice. The black one with the sewing machines caught my eye immediately too...
