Update on the Double Slice Honey Honey

I am soooo glad this done and almost ready to send to MSQ for quilting. Of all the years I've been sewing and quilting, this has not been my most enjoyable project.

First, I purchased the Honey Honey fabric for my GD's quilt. Then my daughter told me it looked like an old lady fabric. Purchased another $100 of Ticklish for her and decided to make this one for myself. No harm having an extra quilt around the house.

Then I ran into problems sewing some of the blocks in reverse. Did a little froggin' but not much. Couldn't find the blue I wanted, so got the black floral. Needed to make the quilt wider, so added a 3" orange border - I don't like it. The color is fine, I just don't like the 3" border.



So nothing about this easy Double Slice quilt has been fun. The only funny thing is that my GD saw me working on this last week and she said, "Oh, Grandma, I hope that's the one you're making for me." Oh, just shoot me now.............
