Sounds like something I would do! You are just ahead of the game for this year. :)
Sounds like something I would do too!
1-maybe she just wasn't meant to have it last Christmas.
2-I most certainly have done this type of thing. More times than I care to count.
3-now you are ahead of the game if this can be a Christmas present this year.
4- how cool, one row to attach and a quilt top is done. Easy peasy!
You are among like souls from all of the others here who admit to doing things like that.
We all have those "duh" moments! On of mine was when I was working on my mom's wall hanging. I was ironing trans-web onto the back of my applique pieces.......a few at a time and then ironing them in place. I picked up one piece and kept trying and trying to get the paper backing to peel off......and I kept trying........getting frustrated because no matter what I did I couldn't get the paper to peel away! After I was completely aggravated I had my "duh" moment......I had not ironed the trans-web to the back of that piece yet!!!! Well Duuhhhh........no wonder the paper would not peel off!!
It happens to all of us sooner or later! :D
Sorry, but it made me giggle....because it sounds exactly like something I would do. I have major perfectionistic tendencies, a bit OCD and get distracted VERY easily! Not a good combination. So glad you didn't toss it and your SIL will have a beautiful quilt. One gift down.... ??? to go.... :)
