    Default CT Thread Sale

I have a number of items in the cart at Connecting Threads. I need to know if I need a special spool holder for the cone thread. I'm going to give the cones a try but not sure if it will fit on the machine thread spool.

Depends on the machine. My Janome will hold a cone. If yours isn't able to use a cone, you can buy a separate cone holder. CT has one for sale.

The cones are too big for any home machine I've used. They have a center like a cone of serger thread, if you know what that is like.

I have a stand like this Cone Thread Stand from ConnectingThreads.com but you can find them for about 5 or 6 bucks other places.

Get the cone holder. It won't spool off the machine quite right unless you have that tall arm thingie.

By the way, I just tried the CT thread and fabric with this last sale, I am pleased with quality of both.

Thanks Karen. I put one into the cart until I heard from someone. I really don't feel like shopping around, so I'll order this one from CT. I already have enough for free shipping so it would defeat the purpose to look for a cheaper one and have to pay shipping.
    Thanks for your response.

Does anyone know if the cone thread holder will work with the regular spools from CT? They are a tad too tall for my spindle, and rock back and forth, and go up the spindle, if I am winding a bobbin. But for regular sewing its ok.

It should work fine with the regular thread spools from CT.

Thanks ladies. I ordered the cone stand, fabric and some thread. It's a nice sale on the thread good through 8/5. Hope my machine likes it! This is my first order with them.

Update on the fabric: I did some dyeing this weekend and the white on white fabric took the color beautifully.

I'm not sure how I managed to get enough thread to qualify for free shipping. Ok, $12 was fabric, but still. I guess I have no excuses left for putting off the quilting of some of these tops!

By the way, the thread sale ends tomorrow night @ 11:59 PST.
