What is the shipping times typical now with MSCQ? Can I cancel when account says Fulfilled?

I'm curious to know what other forum members are experiencing with getting their orders from MSQC, ie from time of ordering to getting confirmation the items have shipped.

Also I'm not getting an order confirmation anymore. This happened the last time too. Since the confirmation would appear within a few hours of placing the order it is not happening anymore for me. These were computer generated I assume and not a manual task for an employee to do. My account shows it is Fulfilled but not shipped (no tracking number or confirmation of shipping).

I'm now worried I should have looked for these layer cakes somewhere else. None of these were on sale. Can we cancel once the order is Fulfilled?

I just placed my third order with M* and so far they seem to average about 5 days from order to ship. I placed the first one on the 10th and it shipped on the 16th, order # 2 was placed on the 17th and shipped the 23rd, and the last one was placed the 22nd and shipped the 26th.

All of my orders included pre-cuts and a few yards of cut fabric, so I have no idea if that makes a difference or not. I got an email confirmation of each order, as well as the email that it shipped.

Looking at the calendar I see the 10th and the 17th were both on a Wednesday and the 22nd was a Monday so maybe I'll try to order in the beginning of the week because that last one seemed to ship the fastest! :D

I just placed an order earlier in the week got my confirmation right away and just got an email it shipped yesterday. That is same as has been for me. I will receive my item by end of week

I have the same question as Julia. My order of the 26th says fulfilled, but no tracking info is available and no email received that it has shipped.

I've not gotten an order confirmation on my last 2 orders, but paying is a bit different on the site now. When you hit pay with paypal you go directly there. I always get my paypal confirmation, but not a MSQC one. I think that is where the difference is. They made changes to the webpage, and probably didn't realize the order confirmation email isn't being kicked out with paypal payments. Shipping seems to take 4 or 5 days, they must be busy again. I've always gotten an email telling me when my order is shipped.

Ordering at the end of the week, you might have a couple extra days of delay since the store is closed on Sunday and Monday, I think. Not sure about the shipping department.

I assumed that last time and asked Al about it last time when not receiving confirmation when I paid via Paypal but maybe they still have not worked out the bugs.
I've never waited this long before to have stuff shipped from them. I did order on Friday (26th)so hopefully I hear soon.

I found that if the DD was really popular (free shipping & the free mini-tumbler) that the time from "Order Received/Confirmed" e-mail to "Shipped" email was almost a week and then nearly a week to get it to me. My guess is that if they run a few popular DD's in a row the order & shipping department get hammered.
Apparently USPS didn't realize that the airlines fly from Saint Louis to Seattle several times a day and sent it through Houston and East Houston before deciding Seattle was the other direction, so they are to blame for the travel delay not M*

My order from the 3rd was shipped on the 26th. I honestly forgot I ordered til I got an email. I don't need the fabric right away so I was ok. It's the second time my orders have been "lost" in the system, I pay with PayPal. I don't complain because I'm not in a hurry but I have been checking because I do want what I've paid for. I should add because my location here says Germany but were APO so we are on stateside shipping not international. I have no idea what's going on with shipping I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because I haven't needed anything right away

I get both. Within seconds ... less than a minute of placing my order, I get a notification to email of that order. Filling and shipping has been taking longer. It used to be 24 to 48 hours, now is taking a week or so to get the ship email. They must be busy with all the summer traffic that comes through there.

It would be faster for me to just drive the 50 minutes to the shop to get my stuff. LOL. But, I like to order late at night before I go to bed, I doubt they would let me in at midnight or 1am. Or I'd go then.

I don't always use paypal, and I have had the same experience lately. I can be patient, and I know that it will get here soon.
But I haven't gotten the tracking number or the confirmation email for the past couple of orders either.

I placed an order at 2:23 pm on Friday, July 26th and received confirmation immediately. In the confirmation email it showed estimated shipping date of July 27th. (that would have been a Saturday). Received a notice today at 2:02 pm that it shipped today, July 30th. I don't think they ship on weekends otherwise these people wouldn't get to have a life.

Placed another order this morning at 7:54 and got immediate confirmation on my order.

Now I'm waiting to see how many of the items I ordered will become DDs within the next few days as that has really been my luck when placing orders with M*. :lol:

Placed an order yesterday afternoon, got confirmation of the immediately....now we'll see how long it takes to get it. I have had orders arrive in as little as 5 days and have had to wait as much as 2 weeks. Orders have been sent be both USPS and UPS. Don't know how they decide how to ship, because the one or two I have received in the mail were definitely heavy enough & large enough to be sent UPS. And I do believe all of my orders except one or two (not the ones I received by mail) qualified for free shipping! Yes, I make my orders count or let's just say I cannot resist all of the beautiful fabric!! :D

My last order I didn't get confirmation nor shipped notice..

According to the website MSQC store is open Mon - Sat 9 -5.

Well I guess I'm not alone in not getting confirmations and experiencing slow shipping.

I don't order very often, but when I do I get a confirmation email almost immediately, I get an email when it ships and it only takes about 5 days from when I order to when it arrives in my mailbox. I've never had any problems when I've ordered. Like I said, I don't place orders often so things could be different next time.

I just received a confirmation email saying my order has been shipped......hope everyone else that ordered on the 26th has received one by now as well.

I have noticed that it has been taking a couple of days longer to get my orders. I was getting my orders in about 3 - 4 days. The last order was 7 days. Like others have said M* must be busy :) I generally get an order confirmation, from M* immediately and then a shipping confirmation a few days later. I pay with PayPal and get a payment confirmation from them.

Mine is now on its way here . I guess I'll see it by early next week. I better plan better next time for the fabric I need.

I just ordered machine quilting and paid on 7-21. No order confirmation. I shipped the quilt top and backing and they received it on Monday. I have been concerned because I usually get confirmation of my order. But, I called them today and they did get the order and payment, and the quilt arrived safely. They did say I would get a phone call when the quilt is ready and shipped. I love MSQ and wouldn't use anyone else, but I miss not getting any kind of confirmation that my order is in process.

Ha, you made me go look! It's been a while since I had my quilt done by them, but it was in there.

The online part wasn't doing real well for quilting back then and it said to call. I did, but sure didn't do it at 4:40 am! I think someone must have entered the information the next morning. When I called I made sure to ask if I got all my quilter points since I phoned it in. I did!

You have to figure that if the DD sells out, that alone is 500 orders to process and ship. Add into that the regular orders, they are quite busy. Most company's take 7-10 days, so I think you need to take all of that into consideration.

My order is on it's way, but it's been two weeks since I ordered it. Earlier this year, even the DD was taking and impressive 5 days or less to get to me, but they seem to have changed their shipping process and method. While I understand busy, I don't care for the new system. It makes mail order very hard for me, even with great prices.

Still love the tutorials, which is why I had to have that fabric! :)

I got mine yesterday and only because I went to the PO and picked it up once UPS had dropped it off at the PO. MSQC shipped by UPS Surepost which means UPS doesn't do the final delivery but hands it off to our local PO to deliver.

I don't want to appear disrespectful to MSQC but I've ordered from other sellers and always had my orders shipped within a day and this isn't just 1 or 2 items but multiple items. MSQC always shipped quicker and I thought they got more staff to help with the volume but that doesn't seem to have helped. I love the tuts and the line of fabrics they carry even if they are not on sale. I don't want to have to check what DD's sell out because that for some reason delays orders being fulfilled. Maybe the reason has to do with their local PO not able to handle volume of shipments...just a thought.

I ordered the DD last Thursday, it shipped Monday and expected delivery is this Friday, so just over 1 week total from order date to expected delivery. I feel like that's a good and reasonable amount of time, to me, and that's been about average for my orders.

I placed an order last week Friday 8/2. Then Monday 8/5 I got an email that it had shipped. Today I checked the tracking and it was received by PO on Tuesday 8/6 and shows an ETA of Friday 8/9. I think that's pretty good for this order. I'm sure there's a lot of factors influencing shipping times such as: DD that sold a lot, employees having time off, increased exposure of M* due to new magazine, PO time delays, etc. There was a couple orders that took longer than that to get here and it was about 2 weeks. I think in this day and age of technology and fast everything we tend to focus a lot on times and want everything now. I do want my stuff fast but then I have to remind myself that there are so many factors involved and I'm sure at M* they want their customers to be as happy as possible and I'm sure they're doing everything to get the merchandise in our hand so that we place our next order.

Keep in mind you are only paying $5 for shipping....anywhere else it would be more.

They need more people in shipping. They may not have the room to accommodate more workers in shipping. The good thing for them is they are very busy and the bad thing for us is a few more days until we get our wonderful packages.

Still haven't received my package but I'm assuming weather at their end (they got lots of snow) and weather at my end (lots of snow) have slowed things down a bit. A polar vortex will do that...lol. I'm sure it will arrive early next week. However, unlike everyone else in the forum I have no surplus material or UFO to work on. I was really looking forward to having a new project to start this weekend. Oh well...

Do you have a fabric store anywhere near you? You could buy fabric to start something small while you wait..
I have to say I am honestly impressed that you don't have any UFOs, I have a bunch lol
If I though it would help, I'd send you some of mine haha..
