It's natural to be nervous and excited and terrified and all those lovely crazy emotions when we do something outside of our comfort zone. This is all good, gets the adrenaline going, extra oxygen to the blood.....well the stomach flutters can be a bit disquieting but hey, its like a ride on the roller coaster.

Now, a bit of a "mommy wagging finger" time. Young lady, we are our own worst critics at times. Doesn't mean we are right, it's just an internal dialogue that really should be told to shut up. Just look at all the people who believe in you......are you saying they are wrong, have no taste, no sense of style or understand quality products???? Of course not!!! So when that little gremlin of negativity start whispering......give him a boot in the bum, bring back to your mind all the wonderful ooohs and aaaahs your work has given to so many people.

I think your helpers should make a 'mission statement' to hang in your chalet too. A little sign in the theme of the show with a sentiment about the beauty of what quilts really represent. Something about how the life of a quilt encompasses comfort, love, endures the ages and soothes as a mother's gentle hand. How the stockings represent wishes, hopes and dreams. Your pot holders represent the love of life, the taste of home and the memories of childhood. (There was a lovely post about why one lady quilts, read it and you will get the idea.) This adds another dimension to the selling feature.....you are not just selling a product, you are selling a feeling behind it. People love the idea of acquiring something that has a lineage or a "story" behind it. Just a thought.

Believe in yourself, in your work and in people to know something special when they see it. I am so excited for you and can't wait to hear about all the wonderful experiences you will have.
