I have a small house. A few years ago we moved the living room into the unfinished basement. Then we set the old living room up as the dining room.
That was fun, inviting family over and using it a lot.
But then it slowly became my sewing area. Now I have all of my sewing stuff in the dining room, and I am spending more and more time in there. It is no longer the dining room.
Hubby suggested, "Why don't we move the living room back up here and make the downstairs your sewing studio?"
YA SURE!!!! LET'S DO IT!!
That way we have a place to congregate, in the living room again, and I have a larger space dedicated to my sewing and quilting!
He even handed over his Grandfather's old work bench that he was planning on making a bar. He said you would make better use of it with all of your equipment and tools.
So this Friday, we are moving things around! Starting Friday afternoon. I could barely sleep last night. I was thinking about moving things around.. Making storage on one side, and my studio on the other side. I call it studio, because we just bought a new machine with embroidery features. My husband works in the graphic design world and looking ahead.. He has so many ideas and plans to put them into fruition. This is turning into 'our' studio, but I love that.
Before he gets his design ideas into, I plan on putting curtains and a few fabric walls up ( since they are cheaper than building walls) in my favorite colors.![]()
Wahooooooooooooo!
