While shutting the double car garage doors .....

When we bought this house 13 years ago I had told my DH "one day the attached garage was going to be my sewing room". Well one day about 8 years ago; well after he had a 3 bay garage built for himself; I simply said "I'm ready to make my sewing room".
By the time I got home from work he had the garage door off and had cleaned it out.We done all the work ourselves ( thank god for the DIY channel) we raised the floor 2 feet put a window in removed the outside door, built a closet ,drywall,laminate flooring and so on and so on and watta bing watta bang I had my own space. I have never looked back. Granted it looks like a bomb exploded every time I sew but it is my bomb and I clean it up and wipe it out again and again. If I were you I would definitely get my own sewing space because I use my sewing space waaaay more than my DH uses his 30x40 garage! Now if only I could get them to quit bitching everytime I spend time in there I would have it made
