Guessing that this is paper pieced?

My guess is that they were 4 strips sewn together into a strip set and cut into triangles. Piece four of them together and you have your block.
At least that's what I'd do if you aren't going to paper piece.

After I looked at it more I was thinking that too. It just comes down to how many fabrics to choose I think.

I have this filed and will think on it some more.
