Good grief! I have been tossing out perfectly good adding machine tape from my calculator! You can bet I'll be saving it from now on. I can't wait to get started doing this!

I've seen where they keep the adding machine tape in one piece. As they sew pieces, they just roll it up and then when needed, cut it. I could roll the fabric end around an empty toilet paper roll that I was saving for Sunday School crafts.

Great idea. And what do you know - I have an adding machine on my desk/sewing table combo. Not that its plugged in LOL - my classes this term dont require math work.

Ok - what am I missing as a green newbie??? So you sew the first piece to the paper and then sew the other pieces to each other but you never sew the later pieces to the paper? How does this help? Or are you sewing them to each other down onto the paper at the same time. Sorry - I know nothing about paper piecing. Thanks
What a great idea, I have lots of really small scraps.

I need to remember this one. What a great idea for making crazy quilt doll quilts, small table toppers, etc.

I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....
I have a plastic bag next to my machine. Scraps go in there and when I feel like sewing, but not on a project I just make a length of this. Keeping them for a project I will tackle later. I knew Blondie, Sandy or Jean would know about this.
