Re: Teeny tiny house blocks
Thanks, Susan! What is it about house quilts? They are so wonderful. These tiny ones are darling and stamping the pattern onto the fabric is such a clever idea. I'm getting ready to move to the Netherlands. I might have to order a set once there. What a fun way to use up scraps. I save lots of scraps but so far I haven't really come up with a project for using them. This could actually be a fun hand-sewing project since it's small. Food for thought. I have to say, though, a paper-piecing pattern might work well too. I need to revisit that site since I didn't catch how large the individual pieces are. Sounds like the whole house block is only a bit over 2". I don't know if I could handle something quite that small.
I took another look and the stamp fits on a charm square. I'm assuming the houses are under 3" in size. That's really teeny.
Re: Teeny tiny house blocks
I sure as heck would make a quilt but would love to make an insert for a pillow or small wall hanging.
Going to ask my folks to order it for me in Holland and send it with the next food/magazine package. Hehe
Anyone interested can PM me and we can figure out Euro/US $ and PayPal it to me to purchase the stamp. I'll bill you for the First Class plus DC when I ship it to you. :)

I love them - but no time for them now. I especially like the one with the black cat in the window - too cute!
Sigh...maybe someday.
Re: Teeny tiny house blocks
I think they are adorable but I can't even imagine tackling something that small. Maybe if i learned paper piecing I could make ONE house for a Christmas ornament or something, but that's all. Definitely gave me a headache just looking at it! WOW that is some serious dedication.
My husband said this is "Extreme Quilting" ! LOL

Or maybe as part of a mug rug design...

Uhhh, no thank you! The quilts are cute, but no way I would attempt it!
Re: Teeny tiny house blocks
They would make nice Christmas ornaments. But a whole quilt would be:icon_crazy:

I agree. Did you notice most of the gals pictured with their tiny house quilts are pretty young.
Those little houses would take up too much of my time as I hate to work with very small pieces. Since my scrap stash is much to big I've been forcing myself to discard any scraps smaller than
2 1/2"s. No matter how many scrappy string blocks I make the scrap stash never seems to go down.
Re: Teeny tiny house blocks
These quilts are amazing! How awesome it must be to see one in person.

Is that the one you are talking about ordering? I can't figure out how much the price is, can tell I don't use etsy much.
