Thank you everyone....never thought of the thrift store. When you say thrift store, are you talking Goodwill or Salvation Army? Honestly never been to a thrift store, that I know of. I am guessing a consignment shop would be too expensive compared to a thrift store.

@Mom23....thanks for the offer. Since these are Christmas table runners, I am looking for something sort of on the "dressier/fancier" side. My Christmas fabrics are sort of classical Christmas....poinsettias, holly, red w/gold stripe etc. Would like to find something "Christmas-y" for the buttons....a holly leaf, a snow flake....nothing cute or whimsical. Hope all of that makes sense. :-)
