I don't know why I did it. I shouldn't have...I really shouldn't have but...
I added up my Wish List. :icon_doh: :icon_eek: :icon_shake: :icon_sniff: <---- Yes, all of those emotions. That's what I'm feeling!
I guess because at work I have this handy Canon calculator with a big bold display and the tape, with the item count. I just started punching in numbers out of curiosity and ended up at $522.15 and that is without 4 items that have since come up with the red "out of stock" notice. I fear the "out of stock" notice! What if they never come back in stock?? :icon_scared:
Why is fabric so addictive???

LOL! I am with you sister! At least you were just adding up the WISH list, I added up the receipts I have purchased since my first order on Jan. 1, 2013..... Several Thousand!!!! YIKES!!!!!!
Re: I don't know why I did it. I shouldn't have...I really shouldn't have but...
You made me giggle. You see, I always try to keep a running tally in my head and always round up. That can be a good thing, especially since I am the kind of shopper that will go put items back that are not necessary. In my mind, they were mine for the time they were in my cart.
Now, for the roller coaster ride you experienced, I suggest a nice cup of coffee, tea, sweet tea and a chocolate bar. Works like a charm for me.
Many blessings to you.

Thanks for the smile on a Monday morning. Fabric is definitely an addiction. :icon_bigsmile:

Blondie....when I saw/read the sweet tea reference I KNEW you were in the SOUTH!! LOL
Re: I don't know why I did it. I shouldn't have...I really shouldn't have but...
How funny! I was just thinking about sweet tea today. I was wondering if the Brits drink iced tea. I'm not sure. I've learned to drink water without ice but what's iced tea without the ice? TEA! I have a really small ice cube tray that has a top and I fill it twice a day to make myself some ice. I take a gallon freezer bag and crack the ice out of the tray directly into the bag. I wonder if ice makers even exist over here for personal use. I'm sure the pubs have them since they will give ice if it's asked for. I can't tolerate sweet tea. Even though I've got southern blood in me I just can't stand beverages being super sweet unless it's got alcohol in it. Hmmm - I believe there are alcoholic drinks made with tea. Am I right about that? I just looked up tea with alcohol and was surprised to see quite a long list. None of the names sounded familiar. Hmmmm....

My BIL is British. His family came over a few years ago in August, and on 100 degree days, they wanted hot tea. It took my BIL a long time to get used to iced tea - and he can drink it, but only from a bottle - he doesn't like sun tea at all.

Rebecca - have you come across iced tea over here? Don't think we have it but we so seldom have the glorious weather we're having now so maybe it never caught on. Maybe you could start a trend!

They don't sell Snapple in the UK?
It's funny when Dh and I went to NZ and saw that American beer was more expensive we switched to Steinlager. Still my choice of the green bottles.

I love me some sweet tea!

Yikes, I haven't even added up the "wish list." After reviewing my receipts since January, I definitely need to go on a fabric diet in lieu of eating!

Has everyone noticed that Vicki is still working? She just needs to skip lunch until she can retire, save that money . . . and when she retires she may be able to get that wish list taken care of.

Vicki, I think in Mo they would call you a piker ( MO slang for slacker), cause my list is about double that!

I'm afraid to have a wish list, so I don't have one! haha!
Hugs,

We have a portable ice maker that is for our travel trailer. When not traveling, it stays in my studio with me. I chew ice CONSTANTLY so I empty that poor little thing 3-4 times a day, but at least I'm getting my water intake (empty, it will hold a gallon of water) even if I am killing my teeth!

I had a VERY short wish list, maybe 4 or 5 items....broke down & ordered all, now waiting on the order to arrive. Oh the anticipation! :icon_mooooh: Makes me a little nuts...waiting. Just the idea of adding up my receipts from just the last 3 months or so from M* & Fat Quarter Shop, plus LQS makes me a little light headed. Fabric diet may be needed or fabric intervention!!

Really?? Well I would not want to be known as a slacker in any geographic region so I might just have to go add some stuff. ;)

I can get on board with the lunch skipping, but I'm going to need to get that wish list long before retirement! Unless I pick the right numbers in the lottery this week. And remember to play them. :D

Blondie - I'm convinced no one outside of the South can make a decent glass of sweat tea. Including myself. So I went with the chocolate!
