    Default Mess up

On my last block of a strip (ribbon) quilt I'm paper piecing I sewed a strip in wrong side up. Figuring it was near to impossible to rip out those tiny stitches and keep the paper integrity,I decided the wrong side didn't look too bad. I'm sewing the strips diagonally and mirroring out from the center. Since no two blocks are the same, and I've seen people use the wrong side of fabric, I decided to just keep the block and use the wrong side and just repeat that way down the opposite side. So what do I do??...I sew the other side right out!! Had to carefully rip it anyway. Moral: I can even mess up a mess-up!

When I took my paper piecing class, it was a pain to rip out the mistakes. You do tear the paper, but a piece of scotch tape holds it right back together again and you can go on from there.
