    Default Using Big Shot

In the Cheerio tutorial, Jenny demonstrated the Big Shot for cutting fabric but I have a few questions. Can I use the regular templates I have bought from MSC or do I have to buy Sizzix dies? Also, if I can use the MSQ templates, do I need a special pads?

This may be a silly question, but am I suppose to peel the backing off the templates?

I had the same question about the backing! YES you peel it off. I would not put my templates through a die cutter, they are made to work with dies only from my understanding.

    WELCOME. Pamela!!
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

the dies are a board with blades sticking up in the shape of the cut with foam around the blades that compresses when put through the machine and cuts the fabric. Templates are just plastic shapes that you cut around with your rotary cutter. You would possibly crack or break a template if you tried to put it in the machines and they wouldn't cut the fabric anyway.

Hit the link in my User Notes in my signature. The Cheerios quilt is at the bottom of the list.
