    Default Any ideas?

Every 10 years some of my old school chums and I get together for a small reunion. We are a small group of 6 and for the next reunion I want to make everyone a lap quilt. Should they be all the same...individualized....or maybe a sampler quilt with friendship blocks thrown in.????

    Any ideas?

How about a sampler style, with a block that represents the personalities of each of you [6 different blocks]. Make 6 of each block, and put them into each quilt in a different order, or with different boarders. Then each is the same and also unique. Then you can tell them each why you chose that block to represent them. Could be a conversation starter, and is nearly guarenteed to be a treasure for each.

I'd make them identical, but on the labels, write something personal for each person.

I would make it easy and make the same pattern like a D9P in favorite colors. So two love pink, do one light and one dark or way different prints and put a label on the back.

This is what I would do too. Maybe a different color theme for each but the same pattern for sure.

Good ideas...good thing I have a bit of time before they need to be done. Now to get their favorite colors without giving away the surprise...hmmm
    Thanks everyone...keep the ideas coming

I have fallen in love with tumblers lately. I bought the Nancy Zieman set to make one of these,

Google the fabric line called Best Friends Forever. I am making three of these quilts for my two neighbors and myself.
