How about the same fabric but different patterns for each one? Tumbler, hour glass, irish chain, snowballs, bricks etc - whichever are your favorites.

I'm assuming you're talking about high school. What about making the quilt in your school colors? Maybe you could add something fun on each person's. Do you have any pictures of you with them in high school? You could copy the photo onto fabric and incorporate it in the label. You could include grad year and school location. Best friends forever, Love ...Remember this will get passed down. It will help the inheritors to know some history.

Rebecca in Baarn, Netherlands by way of Orange County, CA.
I made some big star block table toppers last year for a lunch group favor and the girls really were pleased.
I do like the idea of a different block for each one, a sampler, good idea about the school colors.
Or you could do it in your old school colors if they are too horrid!
Home is where your mother is..........
JRR= Jelly Roll Race quilts. Even if you start with the same fabric - jelly roll - they still each end up a bit different. You could use a different jelly roll or your own 2.5 inch strips to make your own jelly rolls.

Go to Jean Sewing Machine's profile and check out her work! She has been crowned the Jelly Roll Queen! She has an awesome collection of pics of different JRR quilts!
Happy Quilting!
Love all these ideas!! If you want something quick - Jelly Roll Quilts go very fast and make a good size lap top. Mug Rugs! Those are cute and you could simply stitch their name on each of theirs?
Good luck and would love to see what you come up with! What are your school colors? Mine were so horrible I'd never use them![]()

Whatever you decide, they will be beautiful and cherished for many years. What a wonderful thing you are doing.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!
