PHP Code:
This is Sheba, I bought her as a puppy in Dec. 2001, so she will be 12 this year!
They are both spoiled rotten, Sam thinks he is a lap dog and would climb up on my lap if I would let him. He is so lovey, and oh my, he loves the grandkids, especially when they were babies! Sheba could care less...LOL! :D

Okay, here goes! In the group picture, on the top left is Ajaxx & Zeuss, who we lost 2 years ago 30 days apart, right below them is BG, our Shepherd/Akita mix. Center Row starting at the top is Clementine, Gertie, The shepherd is Cooper who rescued us after we lost Ajaxx & Zeuss. He was heartworm positive and weighed 50#; we couldn't leave him at the shelter! Right top is Lily Pie and the bottom right is Lily Pie with our 9 yo cat Scooter. The orange kitty is our newest Jack. The adorable, heart melting fuzzy one is our 15 yo Pomeranian Toby Bean who we adopted last year from a rescue at the young age of 14 years old! All our furry ones are from the shelter or a rescue. The group picture was a Valentine's present from my other half last year (the King of Bounce Pressing Spray!)

Then there is Lennie the guinea pig. Haven't had him long but of course we are attached.

Re: Show us your 4 legged furry friends...
Cute, cute, cute! Thanks for posting them. Sam was a stray in our neighborhood...when we would come home from work he would be in the back yard with Sheba. When we would call her in her would jump the fence and run off. One of the neighbors was going to call animal control...oh no...not if I could help it. I came home from work one evening, he was lying in the driveway...I ignored him, went in the garage and got a butter-bowl full of dog food, went and sat just outside the garage, he noticed the food I had in my hand, he looked at me, looked at the dog food, looked at me again and slowly took the food out of my hand. He ran off and ate it and came back for more...same routine...the third time, he looked at my hand, looked at the bowl, looked at me and repeat, then he slowly reached down and picked up the bowl and took off with it...that is when he stole my heart. It only took a couple of days to win him over...I think he was abused and probably dumped or he just ran off...he is the sweetest dog though, he loves to be loved on and is my protector.

Re: Show us your 4 legged furry friends...
This thread doesn't have enough cats... Lots of cute dogs, but we need more cats ;)
Here are my two, the big Norwegian Forest Cat/Maine Coon is Boots, and the calico is Tinkerbelle, and yes her name is spelled wrong on purpose lol
Attachment 51290
This is Boots' typical attitude. We tell her she's the queen of "I don't give a sh*t"
Attachment 51292
And Tinkerbelle's typical attitude. "What is it? Can I touch it? What happens if I do this?"
Attachment 51293Attachment 51294
I think they're beautiful, but I may be a little biased ;)
Attachment 51291
And here is Boots with her older "sister", Shadow, who we lost a year ago on the 12th :( She was the protector of the house, half tabby, half german shepherd. She is surely missed!

Attachment 51295Attachment 51296
Shaco, our cool guy who acts more like a dog. He follows me everywhere, even into the sauna (!!!!). But he refuses to cuddle when he doesn't want to. YOu have to wait til he comes by himself, if you pick him up to cuddle he will just jump off. He often wakes me up in the very early morning because he and Karma are hungry. He will purr into my ear or nibble my toes or lick my bald head, whatever makes me wake up :D
Attachment 51297Attachment 51298
Karma, our female cat who is, on the other hand, very cuddly. She is happy every time you pick her up to cuddle and will stay a while. She's also very chatty. But she is quick with using her claws so you have to be very gentle and careful with her. She is so skinny that often I am afraid to break something when I pick her up but she eats a lot! The vet says she is just built that way.

Re: Show us your 4 legged furry friends...
Your fur babies are all very cute. Since I am allergic to most fur we donīt have any pets. We had a few rabbits, but only one of it is still alive and it lives with my sister, chasing her cats :)

Re: Show us your 4 legged furry friends...
I love reading your stories and seeing all the cute 4 legged kids!
Dee you are right not enough CATS in here hehehe so here are my 4 and their stories.
Lucky Streak - Called that because the rest of his litter was drowned, so Lucky to be alive, then he would Streak across this campground as a feral kitten letting no-one touch him. Took me just under 2 months to break that habit :-) Then he came home from Texas with us and turned into this loving, hunka Budda Belly! He adores all thegirls and likes to lick their heads (except prissy KayCee) she won't let him so they go around! He is 10 years old now, had him since 3 months. He is such a sweet boy, and smart enough to know how to Knock the latch off the trailer door and sneak out!! Rarely, and ONLY when my husband forget's the latch door front grrrr
Attachment 51299
Sandia aka Sandy Baby - Dumped as a dying kitten at 10 weeks old next to my car when I was doing field work TNR in Albuquerque, she was at our Vet's every Monday for 7 months!! Mange, Ear mites so bad she couldn't hold her ears up, intestinal worms, you name it she went through it. Yet, her heart was fine and her eyes kept telling me she wanted to live! She is my Baby and saved my life. I needed her so God put us together. Now she is a beautiful 8 year old with Failure to Thrive if I'm not around. We are pods in a pea and she is my sleeping time Hair Dresser hmm what will I wake up looking like today?
I will not show you her baby photo's, they are sad to look at but it is a happy ending!
Attachment 51300
Bonnie Boo - We adopted her as 1 of 2 of the "oldest" at the Rescue group. They said she was 10 year old then, a Norweign Forest with 6 toes on all her paws. Her mom died but she was SO loved, and went to the groomers monthly. She is a dog in a cat suit and loves to be next to you, but NOT on your lap. At 18 years old now, she is getting Dementia and her blood work showed (just before we left) she went over the top for beginning Renal failure.
Attachment 51301
Then there is KayCee! I fostered her and her sister (Dora) after they lost their mom to brain cancer when the "girls" just turned 10 years old.. NOT any folks wanted to adopt 10 year old cats so we did. That gave us 6 cats, and my husbands allergies got so bad he was tested. Yes, he IS allergic to cats!!!! Among a few other things, he did the allergy shots for 3 years. They work GREAT!
Last year we lost KayCee's sister Dora to bladder cancer, and Olive our other dark Tortishell that we adopted at 7, she passed away at the age of 16).
KayCee has met up with a living family member in Minnesota who has come to "visit" 2 times now! She wished she could have kept the girls, but her condo only allows 1 animal and she already had a dog. KayCee is now 16 and also tested with renal failure. I will be doing IV fluids in the future, but that's ok, I know how and am up to the task of helping Bonnie and KayCee until they are ready.
She is a Himi/Siamese that does not talk - Odd right? She ADORES being brushed and her eyes melted my soul as her sister stole my heart too.
Attachment 51302
So that's our 4 in the family. Indoors only, most Declawed front when adopted (except Dora). They all have microchips and yes, spoiled and loved very much.
Thanks for sharing your stories too! Quilters do have the best hearts

So cute, all your Dogs and cats and rabits ... here is an empty space for our gone dog Charlie, 17 years old and the best dog i can ever imagine. as he cannot be replaced, the space here stays open for guest animals, like the 2 cats from my daughter or if a neighbor Needs a home for a short time for his animal.

It seems like I can't photograph a quilt without a kitty jumping into the picture before I snap the shot! The picture of Coo Coo in the tote bag is my fav. I left the room for 30 seconds to get my sewing basket to sew a button on the bag to finish it up and this is what I came back to. How cute is he?

These pics aren't great, but all I have is my phone to take pictures. This is our (my) Bandit, 5 1/2 yrs old and all of about 18 lbs---named after the pug on the old Johnny Quest cartoons. :-) He's actually a Chug---half Chihuahua, half Pug. He's very smart, but will make you think he is dumb as a brick! Biggest chicken in the world...unless you are on the other side of a closed door. Barks/growls at the wind blowing, car doors shutting across the street, the TV and absolutely nothing at all. Hubby says he's "my" dog, but I don't think he would know what to do if we didn't have our Bandit!

Seeing a very common thread (pardon the pun) here.....not only are we quilters & fabric fanatics, but we LOVE our fur babies!! Whether pure bread, or pure mutt.....kitty cat or puppy dog. Bought & paid for or rescued.......we all love and enjoy our extended family. As my youngest son always says...."It's ALL good, Momma." :icon_bigsmile:

No Rebecca actually the pup Bella is such a gentle little dog she will snuggle with anything;even the guinnea pig. She gets between the other dogs and the pig or rabbit to try and protect it from them. It is so cute. She is about 3 years old and the rabbit is just a few months old. months
