Re: Need your help/input on paint color......
Yes, agree with y'all....thinking that the sample paint bottles would be the best option. I have picked up paint chip after paint chip, but nothing has "clicked". The room that I am redoing was once upon a time (seems like yesterday) sons #2 & #3 bedroom. When son #2 moved out, son #3 wanted to paint the room (keep in mind son #3 has been married almost 8 yrs) and he wanted a DARK hunter green. My response was no way.....it would have looked like a huge cavern being that dark!! So I went to Wally World and picked out two of the darkest greens, I felt I could live with and got a quart of each....this was back before the little sample bottles. Yes, it was a waste, but better than picking a color...painting the room & hating it. So currently there are two LARGE (2' x 4') green patches on the walls!!! Dear son never would make up his mind, and before we knew it....he was getting married & moving out. It has been the designated catch all or junk room ever since....so the green areas remain. :icon_exclaim: So I guess a couple more areas of paint won't hurt, until I make up my mind! :icon_beuj:
Re: Need your help/input on paint color......
My craft room is orange. For me it was more about a color that made me happy to in the room.
Re: Need your help/input on paint color......
After everyone's input....I think I will look at a couple of neutrals that I really like and a couple of pop colors that I REALLY like (this room won't be painted very often due to its size)! And then go from there. Thanks y'all!
Re: Need your help/input on paint color......
I'd put the neutral colors on the walls that are the hardest to paint. That way if you want to change the color of an accent wall, it won't be too difficult.
With walls that size, you should be able to have a fabulous design wall space!
Colors are such a personal thing. I'm in agreement with the sample idea though. Our True Value Hardware paint department has the largest sample sizes I have seen and in different finishes for $5. Home Depot only has flat samples and about a cup and a half of paint for $4.
Re: Need your help/input on paint color......
Great idea toggpine!!! Never occurred to me to have two/three neutral walls and an accent wall. DUH!! Will have to look for a local True Value....plenty of Home Depot & Lowe's around here. Thanks so much!!:icon_tup:
