Oh, how I wish our whole population realized why we celebrate!!
Yes, I hope everyone has a fun, safe and relaxing 4th. We will be heading to the beach in the morning with breakfast. We will stay until around 1 when it starts to get crowded and then head home to a bbq for 2. We don't go anywhere for the fireworks but I will watch them on tv. I hope to be able to get a little time in my sewing room. I have a couple of pillow shams I need to make for the person I made a quilt for last year and then I need to make another kindle cover and I want to start on a couple of flannel receiving blankets for our expected grandbaby (November arrival). Step-daughter and her dh will not be finding out if it's a boy or girl so I have some gender neutral fabric. I also ordered the polka dot twice the charm deal today with a basic bright color jelly roll for a nice colorful quilt for him/her. Can't wait to get that so I can get started. I saw it in my e-mail today and all of a sudden I had this picture in my head so I had to order it.
Anyway, that's my plans for the 4th. Hope everyone has a great day. Stay safe.

Happy Independence Day!
Have a safe holiday ! The neighbors started partying tonight and the fireworks have sent my poor dogs into a frenzy!
Oh yes, I never forget why we celebrate. Gonna have DD and the kids for bbq and let the kids do a little bit of stuff. I may have to watch from inside, cuz they do love their smoke bombs.
Happy 4th of July everyone! I will be working today like all holidays. Hubby is off. No real plans, Kids will go see the fireworks tonight, Hubby and I will stay home as we both work tomorrow.
Happy 4th of July to all my friends here. Have a wonderfully safe and happy time.
Back at ya!! Happy Fourth of July to everyone!!! I shall never forget the reason we celebrate. :-)
Happy 4th of July! And I agree with you, Sandy & Kensington, I wish everyone truly realized why we celebrate this day. From those brave men and women, too, who risked everything to create a country where we can all live freely to my Navy veteran husband who served and was wounded in Vietnam, to our brave troops around the world who continue to protect our rights, it has taken a lot of courageous souls to allow us the freedoms we have today. God bless all of them and God bless the USA.
