That is in no way an addiction. The shelves do not yet meet the ceiling.
We do tend to get a little ahead of ourselves, don't we?
Beautifully organized, chica!
It's not an addiction - you aren't hiding any of it in dark corners. You have a wonderful stock of supplies for your quilting addiction. :)
So clean looking! I was looking through SEVERAL bags this morning to find one little piece that I knew I had. I found it, but boy was it exhausting. lol
That's just " being prepared " for "just in case " " what if " should happen.
This is located in my office downstairs. I was thinking about relocating all of my quilting books and magazines to this room. I'll probably call it the inspiration room. I'll leave my sewing room (affectionately called the sweat shop) upstairs stocked only with my current projects.
You are just doing your part to support your local business owner and the economy! Great job! :D
those shelves are not bowed... yet. and when a snow storm socks you in for a few days at a time this will be your sanity saver....cheaper than therapy....
I just re did all my fabric this morning! I actually enjoy organizing and folding it all to make it look nice!
No you do not have an addiction. You just like the pretty fabrics and can see all of the wonderful possibilities.
Not a fabric addiction. Just a love for beautiful fabrics, that can then be made into something lovely. I just refolded some of mine that had made it's way upstairs. A cabinet and 7 totes. Now to get to the numerous totes down stairs. I keep waiting for Jean to show us her stash, lol.
No, of course you don't.....
WOW wish I could have that much room..enjoy!
I tell my husband I am preparing for the zombie apocalypse. While everyone else is out fighting zombies, I'll be tucked away in a bunker sewing quilts!!
He laughed.
I am waiting for the day my DH tells me no more fabric can breach the threshold of the house! and granted, mine isn't as bad as i would like and it needs more organization. There is a closet in my sewing room that has stuff in it that needs to go away so i may use it for fabric storage....
Your fabric stash is lovely! Doesn't it do you good just to look at it?
No, it is not an addiction. Your "collection" is very neat and organized. Now, when you start stuffing all the corners full of fabric, it might be called an addiction. I love the way you organized it.
I figure it's only an addiction "IF" I bring home every piece of fabric that I feel, rub & caress while in the store!! :-) Bringing home 2 or 3 or 4 pieces of fabric at a time to add to my collection....it NOT an addiction! lol Love the way you have yours on the shelves where you can see everything!! Just might have to borrow your idea!
I bought the shelves on sale at the local home building center. 42 inch folded fabric fits perfectly on the shelf. All of the fabric was aquired through auction and major discount sales.
If it were an addiction wouldn't you be hiding the fabric? It looks perfectly displayed so there is NO way that is an addiction :)
There is a story behind my forum ID. I used to drag my sons to the local fabric store looking for bargains. They started calling them "Those cotton pickin fabrics" The phrase kinda followed me. We laugh about it now that they are grown . They now appreciate my sewing skills.
I have been reassured that I do not have a fabric addiction. I am so relieved that I am going fabric :icon_bigsmile: shopping tomorrow.
We need to talk - now this is an addiction, yes, this is all the same collection. :icon_crazy: Anything under a yard - folded in the drawers, anything over a yard - hanging. And I still don't have enough! We never have enough!! :icon_rofl:

I thought one had to be a fabric addict to join the forum! :icon_woohoo:
Awesome Fabric Collection!!!!!
It can't be an addiction...it's folded waaayy too neat. You need to have extra boxes overflowing for it to become an addiction!..:icon_hihi:
have you seen my album?... BUT, i'm doing fine thank you...Sandy and others have encouraged me.... a lot of gals here are very neat... i'm enjoying the "semblance or order"... but slowly getting a little out of control... but USING up stuff..
I am down to onely 1 "lightly stuffed" scrap drawer... making a dryer sheet quilt...
the rest is on shelf, or folded in the 20 some storage units under the quilt frame...LOL
Well, I just moved into this house 6 months ago... give me about 6 more months LOL This is also the master bedroom of the house, so I have lots more fabric to buy!
As for an addiction.. NOPE, its additional insolation for the house! Addiction, yes you do have to be addicted to be on this board! ROFL:icon_rofl:
There is NO WAY that you have a fabric addiction. Can we see the hidden containers under the bed and stashed away in totes in the closet please? :icon_heh:
