Sorry to hear :(. The one and only quilt shop in my town is closing as soon as they're finished liquidating. They've tried to sell it for two years but couldn't find a taker and now the owner is retiring and selling everything that's not nailed down.
I know how you are feeling....the closest LQS to me closed it's doors and now the owner does only long arm quilting for people. Now the closest LQS is about 30 min away, IF traffic good! :-/ Keep hoping a new shop will open closer to home, but I am afraid it's not going to happen.
I know how much you will miss this place. They are so much more than just a store. It's not just a place to buy fabric, it's a connection of past generations being honored by the present through the gift of quilting. It's a little easier knowing she is retiring rather than being forced to close for economic reasons, but it's a loss nonetheless. :icon_hug:
