My niece is having twin boys in a few weeks and she has two themes. One is nautical and the other is cars/trucks. I am going to look for some fabrics that have the same colors for the strips and then applique something nautical (boat/anchor/etc. and a car/truck/etc. on the other) on each one to make them different and incorporate her accent colors in the appliques. Do you think this is a good idea, or do you have any other ideas for twin boys. Her colors are mainly red/white/blue with each having a different accent color. I hope I don't have to find two completely different fabric lines for the strips.

I am definitely stealing this idea from Lady T, since I absolutely love those baby quilts. I don't really like to applique, but I would suck it up and do this; unless anyone has a better idea! Remember I have about 8 weeks to do this and I am not the fastest quilter on the planet.
