Please Pray
I have too much drama in my life lately, and here is another bit. I have a 4-6 hour dental appointment today to have a small permanent bridge broken out of my mouth, 3 root canals and a temporary large bridge installed. Not exactly a piece of cake for me. I have a significant amount of bone loss in my jaw due to a past surgery and aging and I'm almost at the point of needing pins put it for stabilization. Most times I yawn I have to close my jaw manually. After several hours with my mouth propped open I can imagine what it will feel like. There is also a slight chance my jaw could break during this procedure. If so, I will be taken across the street to the hospital and they will do the pins if the surgeon is on duty today. Otherwise I would have to go to Springfield which is well over a 2 hour drive.
Long story short, I'm diabetic and stress like this messes with my sugar big time. This dentist is new to me. He has only done my evalutation, so I don't know if he's gentle or rough. My DH will be sitting in the waiting room fretting the whole time. Monday we have a full house of family arriving for a week, including the two Scotties, who will be staying with us after the humans leave.
Sorry this is so long....I guess I needed to ask for prayer and vent.
Thank you for your prayers and positive thoughts....Hugs, Barb

Re: Please Pray
Prayers said. My youngest son has many issues with his jaw, so I totally understand. He had his braces put on, taken off, jaw specialist got his jaw working again, took out his wisdom teeth, jaw specialist got his jaw working again, back to braces, but still seeing the jaw specialist. We tell him he will have a $10, 000 dollar smile.....but in truth the price keeps going up. It is painful to have jaw issues. Your jaw is one bone and joint that crosses the body, thus causes major issues when anything is not in balance. I will continue to keep you in prayer throughout the day as you undergo this ordeal. Please tell hubby to try to breathe and relax as much as he can......stress isn't good for him either. It is in God's hands!

Re: Please Pray
My thoughts are with you Barb. Once you are medicated, some of the anxiety should subside.
Please let us know how everything turns out when you feel up to it.

Re: Please Pray
Barb, the unknown will always give us more stress than we can comfortably cope with. Venting is good.......actually it's great! Best to get those toxic thoughts out than keeping them in. Now breathe deep, remind yourself you are in the hands of professionals and all those prayers whispered in the ear of God will get you through this. :icon_hug::icon_hug::icon_hug:

Re: Please Pray
Oh Barb, here is a big hug (((((BARB)))) and I'm praying too. An exercise that helps me... With your breathing, draw in peace with every breath you draw, and release stress with every exhale. Our bodies can store stress in its cells unless you release them. Think of a gentle warm shower cleansing you from the top of your head down through all of your body, including your limbs as you release the stress and visualize it leaving your body. Draw in that healing peace and love to replace it. And drink [even through a straw] as much water as you can or you will be extra tired and sore. Best wishes sweetheart.

Re: Please Pray
Barb, God's word says, where two or more touch and agree, there He will be. Know in your heart that more than 15 people have touched thru cyberspace and agreed, thru pray that God's healing flow thru you. That His wisdom, will flow thru the doctor and make this surgery flawless. And that His arms are wrapped around you and your husband bringing you peace and comfort.
