It's so wide most pants would only need one length for a pair of baggy pants, I think it s 58" wide.

I like linen everything. I like linen clothes; both a button down linen shirt over a tank top (then it doesn't matter if it is see through) or if it is a darker linen it can be lighter weight and won't show much- so you can wear it without the tank. I also LOVE the new pull-over shirt - tunic - styles. I see these mainly at llBean and Lands End and buy them on clearance- of course. Coldwater creek and cjBanks - even Kohls - carry linen shirts and pants. Just saying- you can look on their web pages and get ideas to sew. Most linen now is washable. Linen is supposed to look wrinkly - that's how you know it's the real deal- no sweat (never sweat in linen :). But some places combine it with bamboo and some (llBean) with cotton to cut the wrinkles. Linen pillows and curtains are lovely and I use my mom's old cut up tablecloth for linen kitchen towels because I love it's absorbency. If you could find beautiful linen it would make a wonderful light weight and breathable summer quilt. In this heat and humidity that sure sounds nice!
Thanks for the heads up on that. I haven't made something for myself in so long I probably wouldn't of noticed that.
Lilly I love tunics too. I bought some Indian Sari's at a garage sale along with some hand painted silks and was planning to make some. I don't know how I was lucky enough to be there at the right time!
ohhh Lorie, I do adore linen (living in Arizona it's like hades on earth in the summer!). Yes, what Jean said of course!
I found a remeant at Joann's before we left in a beautiful teal green in about a 15oz . Perfect for slacks and not be see though. Also if you can find Batiste 100% cotton, that is great if you need to line the linen (or makes for a great blouse to layer). I've not seen too many linen's in recent years that you have to dry-clean, what great strides!
Good luck and hope you also show off your new outfits!! :-)
