    Default New Bernina 750 QE

I brought the new Bernina 750 QE home today. I hope the learning curve won't be too steep, but I'm used to Berninas and their intuitive machines.
I couldn't be more pleased with the machine and the dealer. If anyone lives near Daytona Beach and is looking for a Bernina, pm me and I'll send you the shop's name. (I doubt if the forum would allow me to name names.)
Wish me luck with my new baby. Sometimes I wonder if buying something like this when I'm 71 may be foolish. But I have a saying in my house that says "Do More of What Makes You Happy", so I think I'll be ok.

I am not familiar with the Bernina's but I wish fun and happiness with your new "baby".

Ann, that is an awesome machine and you will love it. I have an old Bernina 150QE and it has been my work-horse for the past 13 years. I love it. Your newer model, of course, has so many more nice features. The dual feed foot is marvelous. It's like my Pfaff IDT on my travel machine. Great feature and always feeds the fabric uniformly. I also purchased my Bernina machine right before they came out with the stitch regulator. I would have loved that for FMQ but it wasn't adaptable to my model. And of course, your newer model is just packed with wonderful features.

One of the things that's really great about the Bernina presser feet is that they really do the job. I use my edge foot all the time for SITD, move the needle if necessary, and rarely have any stitches out of the ditch! The 1/4" foot is right on and darning holes is so simple with the program.

I know that you will have many years of happy sewing with your new machine. Congratulations and post some pics of your new projects!

Name away. If you are happy with their service and think they might be of benefit to someone in the area, feel free. As long as you aren't posting it everyday and acting like you are their advertising/publicity manager a shout out and good word is fine.

I hope you and your new machine have a long and happy relationship.

Since I was encouraged to name names, the shop I purchased the new machine at was Bernina Sewing Centre in Lake Mary, FL. I couldn't recommend this shop highly enough. The owners were extremely helpful. I got an hour plus instruction when I picked up the machine, and there are 4 classes available for new owners to learn their machines. If you remember my past posts about picking a shop, this one was further away than another one. I chose Bernina Sewing Centre because of the nice, helpful email I got in answer to my initial email. The closest shop's email was curt and only told me to come in to the shop. They didn't even answer my second email.
I appreciate this forum. Thanks so much for all the encouragement.

Enjoy your new machine. I am a Bernina fan too. I have the old 180 Artista. It still does a great job. I would love one of the newer machines with more features. Maybe I can get one when I'm 71.
