I couldn't be more pleased with the machine and the dealer. If anyone lives near Daytona Beach and is looking for a Bernina, pm me and I'll send you the shop's name. (I doubt if the forum would allow me to name names.)
Wish me luck with my new baby. Sometimes I wonder if buying something like this when I'm 71 may be foolish. But I have a saying in my house that says "Do More of What Makes You Happy", so I think I'll be ok.

Congrats on your new machine, I'm betting you're going to have a lot of fun with it! I've heard great things about Berninas

Congratulations on your new 750, Ann . . .this is the machine I've set my sights on. The only reason I've not yet, is the tension problems some are reporting having with the 7 Series. As one of the first Artista 180 owners, I remember issues with the early models (mine was switched out after four months of frustration) so I know that Bernina will, in the end, make things right by all the owners. Are you experiencing any problems with your bobbin tension even in straight stitching? Both the 780 & 750 demo models I've tested clearly didn't have balanced stitching.
