I tried fmq in class, so far have only done cross hatching and sitd. My question is, should you use the same batting in your practice squares that you will use in the quilt? I'm going to buy some Dream Weaver , but have a few pieces of warm and natural and some poly stuff I use for mug rugs and crafts.

Any advice on this?
