I think FEAR is the real culprit. We expect perfection from ourselves, we may not be sure if the design we chose will look 'right, we don't have the right colour of thread, the sun is not perfectly aligned with anything.......last one is my personal favorite. At the end of the day, if we don't quilt it....it's not a quilt. (Quoted from my oldest daughter)

For newbies like me, I highly recommend checking out Leah Day as she has some lovely "Beginner" level quilting designs that can help get over that initial fear of what to do and messing it up.
