Default Learning by my mistakes lol

Ok, so I saw on you tube someone using the basting spray on a wall, so I proceeded to do that on the floor of my screen porch at the cottage. It was a very hot day, and the result was ok, but let me tell you how I did it, so you don't!
I laid the backing wrong side up, sprayed it, then laid the batting on top of that and knelt on it so I could flatten it out and make it smooth....then I sprayed the top of the batting and put down the quilt top and that worked fine. As you see from my picture,...what I should have done was lay out the batting, spray it, then put the backing on top and flip it over in order to put the top on. I was covered, like tar and feather, and it didnt come off easy. The backing was pretty smooth considering I was kneeling over it. And the top was perfect.

I love anyone who is brave enough to show off her learning experiences with a smile on her face. Been there, done that!! I thought for sure you'd say that you got spray all over the floor and your socks got stuck down or something similar. I hope you have gone out and bought stock in Goo-Gone.

BTW you may think you are a new quilter, but your wonderful top disproves that.

Thanks - I needed a chuckle about now.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

That sounds like something I would do lol And I'd probably be laughing at myself the whole time for not thinking about it before. So thanks for keeping me from making this mistake at least, but I'm sure there are 1000 more that I'll come up with, I have a knack for it! lol

LOL, thank you for sharing, your quilt top looks great, look forward to seeing the quilt once it has been quilted.

LOL! After dealing with the spray, you get a healthy respect for it. I remember having batting all over my feet. I then decided to sacrifice a pair of socks as my "Quilting socks". When I do my basting, I put all the layers together then I pull one layer back 1/2 way and spray the the other 1/2. smooth it out the do the same to the nexy ;ayer. Then I turn the backing side up and smooth it out. I'm sure everyone does it differently. : )
