I pray when risen from the dead before the Lord I stand; perhaps a crown upon my head, but with a needle in my hand.

That's awesome! So glad for you! I have enough space but I don't have a dedicated room to sewing only...

What a great idea!
I do have a question though. If there are actual people living in the guest room, can I boot them out along with the furniture?
Oh all right. I suppose I already know the answer to that.

I'd like to share this, if I may. I came way under my sewing room budget, by re-purposing an L shaped countertop (my good buddy renovates kitchens for wealthy people when they tire of them) and using heavy duty 20"X13" shelf brackets (purchased at Home Depot) to hold a VERY gently-used countertop in place. I LOVE my space. And I would highly recomend this cost saving method! As it would happen, my camera is out of memory, and I have no idea how to clear pics....
My Best to you, Bev, on your new project!
That is a great idea! One of my very good friends has a wonderful space like yours. I am planning to take my time and get it right. Since we bought our home, the trim has yellowed (oil based I am told) and when the furniture was removed it showed, so that was my starting point. While painting trim I must have changed wall colors half a dozen times and with that, different window treatments too. Oh this is going to be fun!
Since telling you about selling the bedroom suite i have really been busy getting my new room ready to move all my sewing loot into.
I painted walls and trim. Then decided to exchange rooms with the larger guest room. So, moved the bedroom furniture into the smaller room. Then I painted the larger guest - now sewing room an off white called Alpaca, and the ceiling the lightest blue (so light you would never know its blue - so next week I am putting up crown molding painted white) Friday i had carpet removed and a new laminate floor installed, so today I moved my Koala sewing table and have begun the big move to my sewing studio! No pictures yet but it is transforming beautifully!
So cool for you!! I had a dedicated sewing room when my 2nd born moved out but then it wasn't just a few months later we needed the room again. So I am back to the sunroom. It's only my sewing stuff but I liked having a door on my sewing room so much better. When I needed to I could just shut the world out! lol
