Babs, when is your hip surgery scheduled?
Let me know when you you are coming, I'll drive up to meet you!
If Babs goes to MI she will miss meeting up with you and me, Jean. Can we tell her to go to MO?
BTW it is pronounced MissourAAAAAAAAA. How do I know? Someone on the radio asked the other day if anyone famous came from our hometown. I have to say that the answer is YES, emphatically. Walter Cronkite was born here. And he said MissourA and who would know better? We have a lot of famous people from MissourA - me, for one..
Hee hee.
Brad Pitt for another and of course Give'em Hell Harry.... Harry Truman that is....
But ya know that if you are born and raised here and you are from the Kansas City side of MissourA but if you are born and raised here and are from the St. Louis side of Missouri but in August and February it is just misery.....
Have to agree with Kelli on the pronunciatiion. I was raised on the eastern (St. Louis) side and we say Missouri, did not realize it was regional within the state how it is pronounced. All I know is I live in Missouri, and will definately book a room at one of the local motels to meet up with all my forum family.
Hey Girls! Just to let you know, Cameron is the nearest town with lodging. Super 8, Comfort Inn, etc... Cameron is located about 10 minutes west of Hamilton. Just wanted to give you a heads up!
Hey, count me in for this field trip! I'd love to meet all of you!
I was excited for her to go to Michigan(MI)...I am going in a few weeks to visit my sister!...and then I realized she meant Missouri(MO)...oh well...both places are fantastic! :D
ALL righty then..............:0
Ya' know,,, a girl with a bad hip, should be "resting",,, but NO........... I have to type out all my thoughts,,, and i DID, say to my self,,,,, hummmmmmmmm is Missouri,,, MI or MO;)... but hecks bells,,, they are used to me by now,,, (i think)...a bit of a dip, and by now they know that "spelling, punctuation and abbreviations... are no biggie for me... honestly,,, my dear friends have me figured out by now... LOL..so ya' gotta know this....
Can't find words a lot,,, i have to sit a minute and grunt,,, thinking... then give up in frustration for a word like "dog".... duh,,, but can remember where i've seen some pattern, or other stupid thing... !!!!
I babbel and am a silly goof,,, but i knit, crochet and swim up a storm,,, and in the cold... cook a lot... LOL
All that being said... this does seem like a goal for me... i gotta find a road trip buddy though,, would never do this alone... don't want DH along,,, he cramps my "stupid"... always have to be on good behavior... and i DON"T do women's groups a lot,,, but THIS one just "calls to me".... so good luck to you all if i really make it... heheheheheh.. It will be a wild ride!!!
M i c k e y............M o u s eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... That's my best M spelling... Sorry girls!!!
Oh,,, and whever the best hotel is,,, for all, i'm there..... I don't do camping, or sleepovers...
My idea of ruffing it; is when roomservice takes more than 5 minutes................ :D

Ooh heck just everyone give each other hugs from me
Bobbi, I thought you already knew that because I try every day to share all my serious overload of faults with my on-line friends. One of which is being forgetful. I was out this morning and drove right by before I remembered to try to get the name. However I was rushing home to get lunch for my bro and sis. Unless you are driving down next week, we do have about a year to plan the M*QC Forum Follies . . .
I won't forget now - made myself a BIG note.
Hugs.
Cameron is only 12 minutes to Hamilton by way of highway.... When I went early this summer I stayede at the comfort in and they had a breakfast and a waterslide for the kids..... and little kitchenettes in the room.... lady manager was witch with a capitol B though.... maybe she was having a bad few days....kellie
Do NOT stay at Econo Lodge - found it filthy! Next time, stayed at Best Western and really liked it - nice breakfast, clean and friendly people.
Sandy, Darlin, Do not admit to Rush Limbaugh!!!! Why give your state, the place where you rest your head, raised your kids, etc., a black eye. I'd take all the outlaws before I would I would admit that this so called human being ever existed in my state. That's right... I must be a fem a nazi! I loath that cretin.
I didn't know Don Johnson was my age. My Father called me Calamity Jane, I was forever getting hurt. I think she was Cool! I loved Walter Cronkite, I have CDs of Sarah Evans. Some great people came from Missoura. My Step Dad for one. He was from Missoura. He ran a ranch and raised 9 kids. He was one of the best people in my life. I loved him very much. He used to make me laugh telling stories about catching skunks and taking them in burlap sacks to get money for their fur. He said he and his boys would bring home good money but his wife wouldn't let them in the house. They had to sleep in the barn until they got rid of the stench. LOL He raised horses. His name was Calvert Bottorff. I forget where they lived, way out of town though, where ever it was. He was my Pop. Love you all, and God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll be there too! Night Night. Jan L.
Why not start a group and post everything overthere?
So everybody can go and see all the post about this trip in one place.....
I have no idea how to start a group, but I will check it out of you all think this is a good idea....
