Jane - that is such a hoot!! - and so real. I was born in New Zealand and came here when I was 20. So - after a couple of years (ok a few more than that!) you would think my pronunciation of dance and chance and six would not give me away. But no - every time I open my mouth and those words come out - "ooooo you're a Kiwi are you"! You get used to it. Reminds me of the scene from My Fair Lady when Professor Higgins said that the "French don't care what they say as long as they pronounce it correctly". At least I think that's somehow what he said.
