Default Interested in quilting history stories?

We all have a dear friend who lives in Margaritaville . . . or someplace in California misnamed San Margarita, who sent me a link to a wonderful site: http://www.mckimstudios.com/index.shtml

Jan sent this because she saw the museum was close to me. I got excited because I was not aware of it and now I'm planning a wonderful visit there with my Li'l Sis and my DSIL.

Jan also thought there would be members here who would enjoy reading the stories. AND, if you are lucky enough to live close by . . . then a visit is a MUST. Anyone in MO or KS who would like to set up a date for us all to tour and get to meet each other?????????? How about anyone willing to travel and spend time there? We'll take visitors from around the world.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Oh wow! my grandma made my dad the farmlife quilt when he was young. He helped her quilt it. It's still in the family, my brother has it now. She did it all in redwork. I'm buying the book/pattern to keep with it.

    THANK YOU SANDY

I just love the McKim Web Site...spent wayyyy too much time there yesterday... Thanks Sandy for putting it up here. Wish I could make a date to come see the Museum with all of you...but...my ship ended up making a hole in Sandy's house!!!!! Sooo that is out of the question at this time..

Have fun ya'll and enjoy the History Of Quilting..I am sure my Grandmother Adams in Kansas had some of her designs at one time, I would have to hook up with my Aunt Janice (yes I am named after her!) and see what she can come up with. If there was any of Ruby Short McKim's Designs in Grandma's things I would drool all the way there to get them... Or maybe Aunt Jan could just mal them to me!!!!

Again Sandy thank you for sharing this with all our quilty friends here.

    Love ya all,
    Jan G.
