Default If the car gets fixed today . . .

The youngest is leaving today, IF the car is finished at the mechanic. We were packing it yesterday and turned on the car and the A/C went out. It was blowing HOT air. If it wasn't summer, I would say the kid didn't need it. But since DH and DS are driving across country in the August heat . . . well, it needed to be fixed. Of course it was the compressor which costs $$$$. Plans are for the car to be packed and ready by 3. The car might be ready at noon. Wish me luck. And prayers for a safe journey for my guys, please.

Good luck with getting them sent off in time. Just had to have AC fixed in one of the vehicles, it is not a cheap fix

God's blessings for a safe journey and a good fix on the car. We too have just had the AC fixed in the jeep to mucho bucks, this after a transmission job, more mucho bucks, guess where it is today?????? You got it in the shop, no AC again. I think if we used horses at least we would know that they are dead and would not keep trying to resurrect them! Trying to get DH and DD to see the "light" on this car which they dearly love.(????)

Prayers said. Is this a college bound trip? Just curious.

Here's to a safe and satisfying trip - may this lead to special bonding time that will mean so much to both of them. It's so hard to let them go that first time, isn't it?
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Where is your son going to go to school? Safe travels to them both.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Yeah! They drove off a little after 4. Not bad considering the little issue with the car. And I was able to get almost everything packed nicely inside the car. We ended up putting one of the snow tires/rims on top of the car.

He is going to school at Vancouver Island University. He will be pretty close to his brother (who moved there last year) and his aunt and uncle. I think he will stay in that area in the future instead of coming back here. The schools here in Quebec are having student protests, etc and its not a good environment for studies.

He is both a Canadian and US citizen so his options for schools were pretty open. We had considered sending him to school in St. Louis since he grew up there but the cost was way over the top. Plus insurance was an issue. Canadian schools are much less expensive than US schools.

Thanks for your prayers . . . keep those coming as the men make their way across country.
