I went to the Royal Caribbean site and checked...I think you are paying a bit more for the special crusie as there is a $500 gift bag, cocktail party, and of course, the classes!!! Apparently, they have everything there are you don't need to take a sewing machine (not sure about everything else: fabric, notions, etc.) so that would be cool just to go to the classes and 'do it'! I have cruised with RCL 3 times and they were phenomenal!!! I love that line (vs. the others I've been on) (and no, I'm not rich, I used to work for a travel agency and got 'fam trip' - lol!) Man, I would love to go! You still get all the excursions of the cruise just get to quilt on the boring days at sea! The price is for double occupancy but it's not fair if, for example, you went with your DH who won't be quilting. There should be a discount for non-quilters.
Oh how I would love to go. The classes would be phenomenal to do right there in person with these people wouldn't they....!

I didn't get the newsletter (or accidentally deleted it) and I can't find the cruise info at the craftsy site. Can anyone direct me?

I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade, huh!?!
In addition to paying for the extras, you are also paying for the cost of their cruise as well.

There is not enough Dramamine in the world for me to take a cruise! I would be knocked out asleep in my cabin all day and night. I can sleep at home for a lot less. Always been jealous of people who have taken cruises. I bet it would be fun to do a quilting cruise!
Piggy, have you tried a cruise? You do not feel the motion of the ship at all. Those ships are huge. Of course, I've never hit bad weather in one. We have a cruise to the eastern carribean coming up in 28 days, and I can't wait!

I have and it was horrible! Now on a pontoon boat, I have no problem. I don't know what it is about the bigger boats. I went to St. Croix a couple of years ago and we took a boat to Buck Island and Turtle Beach. I spent the entire boat ride with my head in the wastebasket and trying to retch quietly. Then we got out of the boat to go snorkeling, I kept on puking. I would have to surface remove my mask and snorkel, let it rip, then swim away from it. It was a lousy day in a beautiful place! And I do love the ocean! Just my cross to bear, I guess! I did take a 1 day excursion from Florida to the Bahamas and managed to spend the whole trip leaning over the boat rail. And that was with 3 Dramamines in me. It should have knocked me out but I was too busy puking to sleep!
