Default Have Babylock ... need a machine for classes...

    Hello ...

I am looking for a reasonably priced and portable sewing machine to take to quilting class. I've looked at Brother and Janome,
and can't decide. I'd like to spend only a couple hundred dollars, if possible. If you have a preference, please share it? Thank you all so very much ...

Test drive them to see how they feel, and run, then see how many stitches they have and what feet they come with that fits your needs and go from there. Good luck shopping and have fun.

I just posted on another thread. I have a baby lock too, but for travel I recently bought a Brother CS6000i from Amazon. I chose it because it came with an extended table and several feet including a walking foot. Numerous stitches and one step buttonhole. It works like a charm, the only bell it doesn't have that I am used to is the automatic cutter but it does have one of the side things that you pull the thread across. It costs $159.97. It might be just what you are looking for and I didn't try it out before I bought either but amazon does have a great return policy if need be.

2013 = God's continued grace, healthy friends and family, and many wonderful sewing projects
