I think I will definitely start with something small. I've had some expericence with foundation piecing- and since some of the double knits have a texture to them, it will make the blocks a little more interesting. Hope I haven't gotten myself in too deep?! I love the idea of donating some lap quilts to local charities. Thanks for all the GREAT ideas!
