July 27, 2012...Let the Games Begin!

We are having to wait until 6:30 p.m. Central DST to see the opening ceremony of the Olympics. So, like others, I'm going to quilt and watch. Got my portable sewing table and my DGDs little sewing machine set up in front of the TV, 3 sets of HSTs for quilts cut out and ready to go. They say "Don't leave the room during the first hour" so I'll take my potty break at 6:28, and be ready for action!

I hear snippets that is is really good, we'll get to experience it in a few minutes!

I have it recording cuz I have to leave about 8 to drive to Farmington to pick up DGD.

The Olympic cauldron is absolutely beautiful Certainly don't miss that part! I only caught the last little bit, but I'm glad I didn't miss seeing the cauldron being lit because it's gorgeous!
