I have the Olfa rotating mat, at first I had a little difficulty because it is in two pieces, but it took a few minutes to figure it out.
Make sure your base is secure then place the top on correctly. I'll guess they are built similarly and you will be fine. I like it very much, especially making the "crazy quilt" where you have to cut each piece. Keep trying.:icon_hi:
I have the same trouble with my Fiskars rotating mat. It has loosened up some since it's had some use, but overall I'm not thrilled with it. I have better luck using a small cutting mat and spinning it around.
Has anybody had a problem with the standard Fiskar cutting mat? I was cutting today, and cut through the green 'self healing' surface mat. :(
Never experienced this with my Olfa...
I have the same problem with the Fiskars rotating mat! Should have taken it back when I first got it. I just use the top part because it just slips out of the rotating part. Would not recommend this mat to anyone.
I have the green Olfa mat. Have not had problems with it, but wish I had gotten the smaller one. The larger one takes more space to turn (duh!) and I'm usually cutting smaller pieces so really didn't need the large one. I'll keep it anyway because it keeps the pieces intact while switching angles.
