    Default TUESDAY DAILY THREAD

    Hi Everyone...

I didn't see a Tuesday thread so here goes.....

Blondie is with her Mom, who is having cataract surgery today. She may be gone a few days from the forum. We got some much needed rain after dinner last night. Now it feels like a sauna but I'll take the humidity to get the rain!

I have an early morning appointment and have to run for now. I wish you all a great day. We have many prayers needs within our group, so let's remember them today.

    Hugs All Around.....Barb

    Good Morning.

I have said my prayers for Blondie's Mom and for all others in need of prayer.

Got a lot of cleaning done yesterday and a little sewing and ripping out stitches . Today I will finish up my house cleaning and try again at the sewing machine. Plus we need to run to the store to get food to feed the company that's coming tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    hugs and prayers.

    Hi everyone,

Today I am babysitting for two precious little grandsons in 95 degree heat. They'd better come when I call because I'm not chasing them!

Good morning everyone! Just came back from morning walk with DH and the family dog. We're trying to get into a new routine. We had stopped for awhile and getting back into it is always the tough part. It is very warm out today..hot and humid. Supposed to reach 100. I think I will keep the rest of my activities indoors until later today when it cools down a little, then a little weeding.
Good thoughts and prayers to all who are in need today! Hope everyone has a good day!

Agreeing with everyone today . . . except for a dreadful occurrence in our area over the past weekend. Gruesome. More later.

Got a call from my Ms. Emily *8YO last night. She is our negotiator (should work for a travel agency figuring out hotel prices, right?). Anyway, she has decided that Nana is going to take her to the American Girl store (have one about 70-75 miles away) and she has been perusing their latest catalog. I tell you, the kid has to learn some finance skills and pretty soon, too. So she tells me last night that I should pick her up today so she can work for me and earn some money and she has decided that she can't accept a mere $5 an hour - she will need $10 an hour to meet her goals. Oh, if life were only that easy. Wonder if she can get me an increase in my Social Security? I explained that I would let her work but $10 an hour was way out of my budget.

So, I called Mom later and asked if she was aware that Emily was expecting me to buy her a $95 bed for her American Girl Doll, a $34 bedding set, a pet dog and a dog bed (who knows what those cost). Momma starts laughing. Seems that Emily has made up lists and lists of things she NEEDS and the first list she shared came to over $400. What a kid. I think we'll probably just tour the store, have lunch with all the dolls, maybe get our hair done, and then come home. I'd sew up all kinds of doll bedding sets if I could sell them for $34 - and Papa says he could make a bed that would rival anything on the market for less than $95.

So, today I will be working with Ms. Emily - and her sister, Michelle is coming, too. We are tasked with moving all my scrapbooking materials from my sewing room to my art studio. Starting the second full week in August I will be doing some very special art and craft projects with the three older girls - for two weeks. They have decided they want to learn to do paper mache (so we'll be making pinatas), origami, friendship braided bracelets (though they can probably teach me - but we will learn some new macrame knots), acrylic and water color painting, and scrapbooking. We are also going to be doing some special drawing lessons before tackling the painting projects.

I don't know if anyone has figured out that I come on here and ramble on because it does help me get my old befuddled brain working in the mornings.

I sincerely hope that everyone survives the heat and whatever other bad calamities are facing us around the world. Here's to better health, wealth, and total happiness.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Hello - and happy Tuesday - going to be a VERY HOT day here.

Cyndi - I remember when my Mom watched my 2 boys when they were little whenever DH and I had a drill weekend for the Reserves. One day I came home and she said "I am done. I can't keep up with them and they know it." I believe they were 2 and 3 at the time.

This is a great way to wake up Sandy. I'm right here with you.

Prayers for Blondies mom and Blondie too and anyone else who has posted their prayer requests. I will spend time on bended knee today because we all know how powerful our prayers are.

I suppose I should make a run to my Dads to water the garden. There is another heat advisory warning out there and the plants haven't had any water since Sunday. Maybe I can let it go one more day. I can't go Thursday (won't have my car) and I can't go Friday (Katie's knee surgery is that day). All I know is those plants can't die on my shift!

I hope you all have a wonderful day. I need to make cookies for Odie, wrap a gift for a friend, and hopefully whip up some new bathroom curtains. Think I will make the cookies first, I am hungry.

    Hugs,

Not too bad so far today! One broken glass filled with juice. One dirt devil accidentally dropped down the basement stairs, full of dirt and still running though in pieces. One bite mark accompanied by a time out with a bad attitude. One accident on my double wedding ring quilt. I WILL live through this day! (In between these minor interuptions they've been sweet and loving and wonderful. I am happy to be with them and I haven't had to chase them once!)

To funny Cyndi. We will be packing up to go home some time today. I could stay for another week, but DH has tournament this weekend and 'needs' to be home so he can get things ready. Don't quite know what that could be since he has been fishing with what he 'needs' all week, and has at least 15 rod and reels down here. Oh well. So if I get anything done it will be later this evening. Prayers for all that need them, and even for those that don't know they need them. Hugs and blessings to all.
