Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
This makes me smile! It's such good news.
Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
Good deal. Glad it worked. Now, keep that coffee away from the work station!!!!
Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
Marilyn, so happy for you that it worked. :) Can't wait to see it finished. :D
Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
Success! Now, no more coffee, tea or wine near the quilts ...
Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
That's great...so happy it worked. Once my Mom washed some spots off a quilt top before it was quilted and hung it on the clothesline to dry. It was a breezy day and the wind unraveled the quilt to the point she had to remove and replace most of the outer blocks! I'm always spooked about things that happen before a top is quilted - so glad your dilema turned out so well!!
Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
That is the reason I stitched all the way around the outside. Musta been a sign from God, cuz after it was washed one of the seams came apart. Since it is not quilted already it will be an easy fix.

Yayyy!! I was wondering about how it would work out for you! So happy it worked out well :D

I am happy for you...good thing you stitched all around it...now no beverages or food in the work station....also for a good laugh one time I set my iron too close to a candle...melted wax on iron...didn't see it until too late...candle was Christmas Red...and landed on the only white fabric in quilt top (custom order to boot)...I quickly learned how to applique and set a block of the backing over it...was able to remove wax but not the Christmas red...no one was the wiser and advised client that was so she would know the sides from the top and bottom!

Re: Woo Hoo!!! Success :)
One reason I like to make quilts is that my sewing area is away from the house. Not only does it keep the house from getting messy, it keeps me from eating and drinking around the quilts. If I am not busy, I tend to snack, so I like to keep busy. I am so glad you got the coffee stains out. They use coffee to dye fabric, so I assumed it wouldn't come out.
