Update - Matt's Heart Attack - Pace Maker/Defib

First off, thank you all for your prayers yesterday and today! Matt, Kat and our family have felt your prayers and love - we truly appreciate it.

Matt made it through his Stress and Echo tests this afternoon with no problems. His pacemaker and defib are technically working as they should. The doctors believe that his pacemaker was trying to make an adjustment for his activity level (he had been throwing a football over head back and forth) and it couldn't complete the adjustment. The defib did its job and fired off as it read a heart attack. Which set his heart into stress mode and continued the sequence five more times unfortunately.

They're adjusted his defib and are keeping him overnight for observation to make sure it's set right. He wants to come home but Kat won't let him. :) She wants to make sure he's a ok with the defib. I tell you my hair is turning gray overnight. Looks like we'll be moving even if we have to live in a hut with the deer. lol Our baby needs us as well as the grandbabies. :)

Please pray for Matt's pacemaker and defib to be adjusted correctly by the doctors and to have him come home soon. Penny's asking for him (taken just before the pool incident)

Ruby, So glad to hear the great news. I agree that it is best if you move closer to them. You would never have peace of mind if you stayed in Hawaii. Will continue to pray for Matt and the entire family. Will also add your search for a place near by to the list. Kids do have a way of turning our hair gray, doesn't it? Penny is getting so big so fast.

So glad they are able to make the adjustments -- and that you are there when they needed you. Hope you are able to find a place soon. What a stressful time for all of you.

Sounds pretty much like what happened to my friends brother. I know he was fit to be tied when that thing kept zapping him. Hopefully they get it all straightened out. He's not had any problems with his since then.

Glad to hear that Matt is doing better and hope these adjustments will take care of the problem and keep it from happening again. Penny is a doll!
