Oh my stars!!! The color chart is hilarious. Must be something about guys, my DH calls anything in the purple/ mauve range, as 'purple'..It's all purple!! .we had quite a time several years ago matching flooring. DH thinks clashing means matching! Good grief!
My husband thinks maroon/burgundy is purple!!!
Hmmm, I don't know what to say about this. For so many guys its true. I have a little trouble with the lavender vs. gillyflower. I don't know what that says about me...

Thanks for this, Joyce! I work for a company that distributes fine art supplies. One summer during his college years, my son worked in our warehouse doing inventory counts. After the first week, he sputtered, "Canary, light canary, medium bright canary, sunflower, dark sunflower, sunshine, light sunshine, lemon, dark bright lemon... COME ON, PEOPLE, IT'S YELLOW!!"

OMG, mine does, too!! Apparently, lots of guys have that problem. True story: My husband is a school principal. One year, one of the parents (a dad, of course!) volunteered to order the graduation gowns. Several of the school board members thought burgundy would be nice; so the fellow of course ordered "purple." My DS#1 was NOT happy that he wore "Barney Purple" to his high school graduation!Quote:

A few years ago I had posted a group picture online and a guy asked "Are you the one in the red shirt?" And, after scratching my head for a few minutes I replied, "Yes, but that's a black and white picture, how in the heck did you know my shirt was red?" And he said "Oh, I'm colour blind, I didn't realize it was a black and white photo". So I chalked it up to a weird occurence and never thought any more about it. Then a few years ago when I was in college we had started a new Microsoft course and one of my classmates (I was only the second girl in the entire history of the program) yells out "SIR! WHY IS THIS BOOK F'N PINK?!?" So I look at my book (it's grey), look at his book (still grey), scratch my head a little more, then it clicks. "YOU'RE COLOUR BLIND!" So from that day on whenever we started a new course I asked him what colour the book was :icon_giggle:
