It is freezing in Aussie-Land and you are sitting there dreaming of WARM weather fruits. I sure hope Jenny gives US the recipe.
Be warned. I am BORED.
This could be dangerous.
When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
They are usually 90 degrees.
A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
I used to have a recipe for fresh strawberry pie. It was pretty easy to make. Crush some berries up, mix with some water, sugar and thicken with corn starch. Then you poured that over strawberries that had been arranged in a cooked pie shell, and let it chill in the fridge. Top with whipped cream and serve.
I'll have to see if I can find it.

Strawberry pie sounds good to me this morning!
This is one I've used for years. If i don't have a prebaked shell I use a graham cracker crust.

I used to make strawberry pie for the kids...I used strawberry jello in it - really good, but haven't made it in years. I got the recipe from my aunt - years ago.

Strawberry Pie
Ingredients
1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
1 quart fresh strawberries
1 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions
Arrange half of strawberries in baked pastry shell. Mash remaining berries and combine with sugar in a medium saucepan. Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Gradually stir cornstarch mixture into boiling strawberry mixture. Reduce heat and simmer mixture until thickened, about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour mixture over berries in pastry shell. Chill for several hours before serving.
In a small bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form. Serve each slice of pie with a dollop of whipped cream.
